The sea is not only part of the natural beauty of our planet but is also the source of all life on earth. It is currently the habitat for millions of species which needs to be protected from the degradation caused by human activity. The more we pollute the ocean with trash and manmade chemicals like plastic waste, the more we denigrate the future of all living things.
In the belief that every small action can make a significant difference, we at the Pandanus Resort set aside one day every month as “Green Day”. Most of our staff members, often joined by guests of the resort, gather early in the morning to go around the area, picking up trash and garbage. Not only is this done to beautify Mui Ne, but it is also done to make sure that less “forever trash” and plastic is washed into the ocean when it rains.
The beauty of the ocean and its beaches has been captured by photographer La Duy Khiem. A collection of his photographs is on display at the Pandanus Resort. Each photograph is not just a work of art but also a vivid story of the gentle waves and smooth white sand at sunrise. Through this lens, the beaches around Mui Ne appear not only as stunning natural scenes but also as profound sources of inspiration, reminding us of the wonders of nature and the importance of preserving the natural sea.
During our more than 20 years in Mui Ne, Pandanus Resort has been offering a variety of experiences to help guests discover the unique Cham culture and cuisine. The public areas of the resort were constructed in the Cham architectural style, Cham statuary and icons are scattered throughout the resort, Cham cuisine is part of the menu in the restaurant and tours of Cham temples and communities are available to all guests.
A highlight of the Morning Tour is a visit to the home of Mrs. Luc Thi Dau, arguably the most famous resident of Mui Ne. As a successful fish sauce entrepreneur, she embodied resilience and vision.
Not many people know that the origin of the name Mui Ne is historically linked to a bay and small harbour that has long served as a shelter for boats seeking refuge from storms.
Situated atop a hill just a couple of kilometres from the Pandanus Resort at the tip of Mui Ne Cape, Ba Vang Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist temples built to reflect the beliefs of fishermen.
Protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development are our core values here at the Pandanus Resort.
