We invite you to embark on a journey through the vibrant and colourful fishing community of Mui Ne. Every guest who checks into the Pandanus Resort is offered the opportunity to participate in our complimentary Morning Walking Tour. On this journey, you’ll immerse yourself in the simple and authentic life of the local residents as you wander through the alleyways between the harbour and the market in the heart of town. The rustic wooden homes and colourful fishing boats create a vivid and captivating scene that will leave a lasting impression.
Arguably the most famous resident of Mui Ne is Mrs. Luc Thi Dau. As a successful fish sauce entrepreneur, she embodied resilience and vision. Born into poverty, she aspired to a brighter future and was determined to transform not only her life but also her community. The profits from her fish sauce business not only improved her family’s living standards but also led to transformative changes in Mui Ne. Her investments in infrastructure, including the construction of the road connecting Mui Ne with Phan Thiet, were pivotal in turning Mui Ne from a modest fishing village into the thriving community it is today.
Each morning, the Morning Walking Tour offers Pandanus Resort guests the chance to explore the local culture and learn about the rich history of Mui Ne while creating lasting memories.
During our more than 20 years in Mui Ne, Pandanus Resort has been offering a variety of experiences to help guests discover the unique Cham culture and cuisine. The public areas of the resort were constructed in the Cham architectural style, Cham statuary and icons are scattered throughout the resort, Cham cuisine is part of the menu in the restaurant and tours of Cham temples and communities are available to all guests.
The more we pollute the ocean with trash and manmade chemicals like plastic waste, the more we denigrate the future of all living things.
Not many people know that the origin of the name Mui Ne is historically linked to a bay and small harbour that has long served as a shelter for boats seeking refuge from storms.
Situated atop a hill just a couple of kilometres from the Pandanus Resort at the tip of Mui Ne Cape, Ba Vang Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist temples built to reflect the beliefs of fishermen.
Protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development are our core values here at the Pandanus Resort.
